Hotel La Posada de Don Rodrigo’s restaurant offers so much more than just food.

Make no mistake – our cuisine, a combination of international dishes and Guatemalan delicacies – is renowned throughout La Antigua. But our delightfully rustic ambiance and daily entertainment (in the form of live music and folk dancing) elevates an already excellent dining experience to sublime heights.

The restaurant is divided into three sections:

 Appreciate one of the city’s best views of El Volcan de Agua, as well as our very own El Jardin de la Cúpula, in this area of the restaurant. Sample a variety of a la carte dishes, accompanied by the joyful sound of live marimba music; our musicians play every day during lunch and dinner hours

Brilliant color and lively entertainment are yours to enjoy in this section of the restaurant, which pairs live Marimba music in the evening with the thrilling spectacle of talented dancers performing the Baile de los Moros, a Guatemalan folk dance, every night at 8pm. Feast on traditional Guatemalan fare, including Plato Chapin, Puyazo, Salimbuco, Chiles Rellenos and Pepian.

Gaze out at the volcano and at other famous Antigua Guatemala landmarks while dining al fresco on our gorgeous terrace. Or simply stop by for an afternoon drink. The terrace is also a popular location for private events.
